Spring Break in Arizona!

Well I had a great time in Arizona with Grandma Nancy! We had so so much fun.

Sunday: We woke up to a flat tire before church. Great start to the week huh?! After church we saw a play called "Nunsense" and it was pretty cute! Everyone in the audience was at least 70 but I still had a good time! I felt like I was really in shape seeing as how my walking speed was much faster than any other person at the show.
Monday: I got to experience my grandma's favorite daily activity: the White Elephant thrift store! Boy was that an experience. We didn't find any "treasures" but Grandma sure tried! Monday afternoon we drive to Kit Peak Observatory where we got a 5 hour tour of outer space. We looked through a telescope and learned how to use a star map with binoculars. Then we drove down the mountain with no headlights at night. Sounds fun, right? Wrong! But we did make it safely. We headed to Casino Del Sol hotel for the evening.

Tuesday: We woke up early and headed to the Sonora Desert Museum. It was really neat! And Grandma did a lot of walking. Poor lady! Then we went to the mall before playing an intense 5 hour session of Bingo. I got close soooo many times but never won! Darn.

Wednesday: After a late night of gambling at the casino hotel, we woke up and drove to San Xavier mission. So pretty!!!! Then we headed to Tubac where we got to shop for pretty turquoise things and a birthday present for my mom :)

Thursday: We went to the White Elephant once again but this time found some nice tips for Grandma. Nothing quite my style though :) That night we headed up to the gaslight theater and saw "The Two Amigos." we had so much fun! I got a brownie sundae that I'm sure made my blood sugar levels to shoot sky high, but it was good :)
Friday: We spent all day at Tombstone! I was scoping out all I the things for RJ and I to do next spring break when we head out there together.

The week was so much fun! I hadn't been in 10 years so it was a much needed trip! Grandma's house smelled the same way I remember :) it was a very relaxing and much needed break from my last semester of school!!
